Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy identifies the source of energy blockage or imbalance within the craniosacral system, which consists of the membranes and fluid extending from the bones of the cranium (skull, face and mouth) down to the sacrum (tailbone area). 

The free flow of energy to every tissue in the body is essential to the health and proper function of all body tissues. Blockage may arise as a result of injury, infection, disease, inflammation, structural imbalance, muscular strain or emotional tension.

The craniosacral system is thought to pulsate in a subtle rhythmic motion, which can be felt by the therapist. Through the use of very gentle healing the therapist can influence the central nervous system thus restoring balance, improving mobility and regaining function to the affected part of the body. Treatment is generally soothing and comforting, creating a sense of ease and well-being in both body and mind.

Conditions which can be treated include:

  • Headache, migraine and period pain

  • Tension, anxiety, insomnia, lack of energy

  • Frozen shoulder

  • Back pain, neck pain, whiplash injuries

  • Baby care;

    • Colic

    • Feeding difficulties

    • Ear infections

    • Tonsillitis

The period of treatment is 60 minutes.
